The Teen Titans are a fighting squad that we have so much respect for. They care about the greater good, protecting innocent lives, and defeating evil villains. What more could anyone ask for from a supergroup? The Teen Titans TV show ran from 2003 to 2006 and when it was canceled, fans were so disappointed. The darker version of the cartoon was replaced by a more lighthearted version... Teen Titans Go!

Robin, Cyborg, Raven, Beast Boy, and Starfire make up the Teen Titans and each of them contribute something vital to the group. Each member has different strengths that are important but when they work together, that is when they really thrive. They are stronger when they are together! These are some fun facts about the Teen Titans.

10 Robin Once Became Joker's Sidekick

The Tim Drake version of Robin was kidnapped by the Joker in the animated series Batman Beyond. He became Joker Jr, Joker's sidekick. We can't picture the Teen Titans version of Joker ever falling prey and becoming loyal to the Joker but at the end of the day, it has never been revealed to us which version of Robin is depicted in Teen Titans.

The Tim Drake version of Robin could easily be the one we saw in Teen Titans before the show was canceled and replaced with Teen Titans Go!.

9 Starfire Can Learn Languages Through Touch

One of the most impressive things about Starfire would have to be the fact that she can learn the languages of others through touch. While the rest of us have to study for weeks or months at a time to learn a second language, for Starfire all it takes is some skin to skin contact. Simple enough!

Starfire is a powerful alien princess who has a lot to offer, including hair made of fire flames, and this additional detail about her only makes her cooler.

8 Raven Has Siblings Who Are Evil

Raven's father is Trigon and he isn't a good character from the DC universe whatsoever. Anyone who thought that Raven was his only spawn wasn't considering how sleazy and evil Trigon is. He is also the father of three evil sons who attacked the Teen Titans at one point.

It is unfortunate that Raven never got the chance to have close relationships with her father or brothers. If they weren't so evil, she would have been able to create relationships with them. That will never be the case for her.

7 Cyborg's Most Used Ability Is His Sonic Cannon

Cyborg is a powerful member of the Teen Titans! Interestingly enough his most used ability is his sonic cannon. While Beast Boy is busy shapeshifting and Raven generates dark shadows, Cyborg is shooting from his sonic cannon.

While Robin uses his agility and Starfire uses her ultraviolet radiation, Cyborg is making sure he takes down villains with his sonic cannon. His sonic cannon is part of his arm and he can always rely on it to get the job done.

6 Beast Boy And Raven's Romance Actually Exists

We never got the chance to see the romance between Beast Boy and Raven unfold on Teen Titans because the show was canceled. Unfortunately, their romance never got to be written up as a storyline. According to the comic books, there is most definitely a romance between these two heroes.

They seem to be opposites in every way but sometimes opposites attract! That is most likely the only way their relationship is able to thrive. On Teen Titans, Raven often seemed annoyed by Beast Boy but in the comics, they fall for each other.

5 Starfire Doesn't Need Oxygen

As if Starfire wasn't already impressive enough, now we find out that she doesn't even need oxygen to breathe. She can travel through earth and space effortlessly without any concern for how she's going to create because it's part of her alien physique.

She can be spotted anywhere from earth to Krypton and she will be just fine. The planet she comes from is called Tamaran and all of the people like her that exist are exactly the same. They simply do not need oxygen to survive.

4 Raven's Mother Is Originally From Gotham City

Raven's mother is Angela Roth, also known as Arella. In his human form, Trigon lured her and convinced her to become his wife. She got pregnant and gave birth to Raven. Originally, Arella was born and raised in Gotham City.

Why does it seem like everything that can go wrong goes wrong in Gotham City? Sadly, that is where Trigon was able to find Arella and pretend to be something he wasn't. He lured her through deception. Raven is the result of lies and that's a hard pill to swallow.

3 Cyborg's Body Was Once Hacked By A Computer Virus

Cyborg is half human, half robot. That being said, he was once hacked by a computer virus on the robotic side of his body. The virus made him turn evil and violent. He became ruthless and ready to kill.

Cyborg is one of the smartest and most level headed members of the Teen Titans. In fact, he is one of the most intelligent DC heroes ever with an IQ of 170! The fact that he got hacked does not take away from his intelligence at all.

2 Beast Boy Overused The Word "Dude"

Beast Boy used the word "dude" a record 114 times on Teen Titans before the show was canceled. It's a basic catchphrase and catchphrases are meant to be used respectively but 114 times is a pretty high number! The first episode of Teen Titans aired on July 19, 2003, and the final episode aired on January 16, 2006.

Across 5 seasons, he used the word "dude" quite a bit. Beast Boy is such a likable character that even though he might have overused his catchphrase, fans of the show don't judge him too hard for it.

1 Starfire Is Only Just ONE On A Long List Of Robin's Lovers

Robin gets around. While watching Teen Titans, it seems like Starfire is the one true perfect match for him. In reality, he was actually linked to several young ladies. Robin had romantic connections with Batgirl, Tarantula, Catwoman, Agent 8, Raya Vestri, Cheyenne Freemont, Shawn Tsang, Zatanna, Huntress, Sonia Branch, Liu, Daphne Pennyworth, Mirage, and... Raven!

Raven and Starfire should have had some sort of girl code in motion to prevent this but it looks like they did not. Apparently Robin and Raven only shared a kiss.
