Face front, True Believers! There's now a Marvel credit card

It's not a Merry Marvel Marching Society membership card, but this new Marvel credit card may be as close as you're going to get.

Partnering with Synchrony Financial, the company has introduced the Marvel MasterCard, available in five designs: Marvel heroes (the Avengers, Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy), Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America's shield, and a more subdued gray version, featuring icons of some of the characters.

Qualifying cardholders can earn 3 percent cash back from select purchases made, at among other places, Marvel.com and official Marvel merchandise booths. They'll also earn 10 percent off purchases from MarvelShop.com.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Marvel fans to earn rewards, save money and always carry Marvel artwork with them,” said Rob Steffens, Marvel's chief financial officer, said in a statement. “We expect the fun and the value of the card to be a hit with Marvel fans everywhere.”

You can see complete details, and apply for a card, at Marvel.com.
