The Fable games are a collection of action-packed fantasy RPGs, telling a story of heroes, corruption, and power, all taking place in the fictional nation of Albion. The games grew in popularity after each edition and nothing shows this more than the voice-actor roster by the time Fable 3 was released.

By this point, there were several big names desperate to get involved with the franchise, either in small roles or as important characters. Fable 4 is now in the works, and it would be surprising if the deeply talented roster of voice actors wasn't added to the next addition to the series.

10 Stephen Fry's Intelligence And Wit Oozed Out Of Reaver

Reaver Stephen Fry Master of Laketown Hobbit

Stephen Fry is an English comedian, director, writer, broadcaster, and actor. He is best known in the UK for his work on the show QI among other things, but he has also been in plenty of movies over the years, including two of the Hobbit movies, where he played the Master of Laketown.

Fry is the voice of the Hero of Skill, Reaver, in the Fable series. Reaver is an ex-pirate turned businessman and is untrustworthy, with questionable morals. Stephen Fry is a very intelligent man and he manages to exude that intelligence in a conniving and mischievous way as Reaver.

9 Michael Fassbender Was The Unruly King Logan

Logan Michael Fassbender Magneto X-Men

The main antagonist of Fable 3, Logan, is the older brother of the protagonist and is the tyrannical ruler of Albion. He is seen as a ruthless tyrant, making decisions that affect the people he is supposed to protect.

He is voiced brilliantly by famous actor Michael Fassbender, who has starred in many big movies, from Assassins Creed to the X-Men movies. Fassbender often gives stellar performances, being able to convey varying levels of emotion or lack thereof if required. This ultimately completes Logan as a character.

8 Ben Kingsley's Questionable Welsh Accent Didn't Stop Him From Excelling As Sabine

Sabine Ben Kingsley Iron Man

After his Golden Globe and BAFTA winning performance as Mahatma Gandhi in Gandhi (1982), Ben Kingsley has gone on to feature in many other TV shows and movies, with Iron Man 3, Shutter Island, and Schindler's List being a few examples of many. He also provided the voice for Bagheera in the 2016 live-action adaptation of The Jungle Book.

In Fable 3, Kingsley provides the voice for Sabine, the King of Mistpeak. A rather comedic elderly character, you'd be forgiven for not detecting Ben Kingsley's voice from this character, as the English actor adopted a strong Welsh accent for this role.

7 Julia Sawalha Voiced Ginger The Chicken Before She Became Hannah The Hero Of Strength

Hammer Hannah Julia Sewalha Ginger Chicken Run

In Fable 2, the player meets Sister Hannah as a pacifist monk, although she is supposedly the Hero of Strength. Due to her personal loss when her father is killed, she ditches the pacifist ideals and finding her destructive power once again, embracing her nickname of Hammer, and agrees to live up to being the Hero of Strength.

She is voiced by Julia Sawalha, who has appeared in many British TV shows over the years, but her one role that sticks out, is her voice-over role as Ginger, in the popular animated movie, Chicken Run.

6 Bernard Hill Gives A Stellar Performance As Sir Walter Beck

Walter Beck and Bernard Hill

Sir Walter Beck is the main travel companion for the player in Fable 3, as well as a friend, mentor, and combat trainer. He is one of the most likable characters in the Fable series and is a valuable asset, initially helping the player escape from King Logan and starting the whole reclamation quest.

He is voiced by Bernard Hill, famous for playing the role of Theoden, King of Rohan, in The Lord Of The Rings. He has a commanding presence in most of his acting roles, either through intimidation or respect. The latter is certainly the case with Walter in Fable.

5 Sean Pertwee Voiced A Rugged Bandit In Fable III

Sean Pertwee Alfred Gotham Captain Saker Fable

Sean Pertwee is best known for his role as Bruce Wayne's butler, Alfred Pennyworth, in the TV series, Gotham. He has had a long acting career, spanning back to the early 1980s. He even appeared briefly in Equilibrium alongside Christian Bale and Sean Bean as Father.

His role in Fable 3 is vastly different from being Batman's butler, that's for sure. He voices the huge and rugged bandit leader, Captain Saker, who is aggressive, even without the strong London accent.

4 James Corden Had A Small Cameo In Fable II

Monty James Corden Acting

James Corden has done very well for himself with him now being the host of The Late Late Show With James Corden in the US, but he did used to appear in several TV shows in the UK.

He also made a cameo in Fable 2 as Monty. In the prologue of the game, when the player and Rose are children, they encounter Monty trying to deliver a love letter to his beloved, and they help him out. It's only a short cameo with not many lines, but it's entertaining all the same.

3 Naomie Harris Excelled As The People's Champion And Bowerstone Resistance Fighter: Page

Naomie Harris Page Fable Calypso Pirates

Naomie Harris is best known for her performances as the witch Tia Dalma in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and as Eve Moneypenny in the last few James Bond movies.

In Fable 3, she provides the voice to the character of Page, leader of the Bowerstone Resistance, an underground organization fighting back against King Logan and the likes of Reaver. She will always put the people first so it is possible to get on her bad side if the player makes certain decisions that don't necessarily benefit the masses.

2 Zoe Wanamaker Was The Strict Flying Teacher And the Mysterious Theresa

Theresa Fable Madam Hooch Harry potter Zoe Wanamaker

Theresa is a mysterious character within the Fable universe. In the original game, she is young and is the sister of the player, the Hero of Oakvale. 500 years pass between this and Fable 2, but she returns as an older and wiser guide for the player, and is voiced by Zoe Wanamaker.

Wanamaker has appeared in many movies and TV shows in the UK over the years, since 1971, but is perhaps best known for her role in the Harry Potter franchise as Flying teacher and Quidditch referee, Madame Hooch. In Fable 2 & 3, she acts as a narrator and guide, and Wanamaker's voice lends itself perfectly to this role.

It feels like Simon Pegg has been in everything, from comedic horror Shaun of the Dead to action thriller Mission Impossible, superhero series The Boys to Star Trek.

Simon Pegg has also featured in a small number of video games, with one of those being Fable 3. He voices the character Ben Finn, a soldier in the Swift Brigade of the Albion Royal Army. As he has strong connections to his Major, Swift, he is labeled to be a traitor by King Logan, making him a valuable ally to the player. Naturally Simon Pegg is able to use his wit with Finn, creating a great dynamic with others when they interact.
