With Han returning to the franchise—and from the grave—for F9, Jason Statham wants to see Deckard Shaw come back so that the two can settle their score.

Played by Sung Kag, Han was first introduced in 2006's The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, which was later retconned to take place after 2013's Fast & Furious 6. After appearing in several of the films, the end of Fast & Furious 6 set up his move to Tokyo and his encounter with Deckard Shaw, the brother of the film's villain. Furious 7 then properly introduced the new Shaw brother, who kills Han as the first part of his revenge against the team for crippling his brother, Owen.

Fans were deeply upset about the character's death and spent the intervening years spreading the #JusticeForHan hashtag. The issue only intensified when The Fate of the Furious and the spinoff Hobbs & Shaw brought Deckard Shaw into the heroic fold without him ever making amends for killing Han.

As the trailer for F9 revealed, however, Han is somehow still alive. With Justin Lin returning to direct the franchise after helming Tokyo Drift through Fast & Furious 6, fans will finally get justice for Han. So what does Statham think about this?

"They better bring me back, because I need to put out that fire," Statham said, laughing. "If he's got any score to settle, it's with me."

While Hobbs & Shaw was designed as its own franchise, mostly given the real-life beef between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson (which has since been squashed), there's nothing stopping Statham from returning as Shaw to the main series. And the actor is particularly excited to properly work with Lin.

"I'm game," Statham said. "I love Justin Lin, he's a great director. It's a shame because when I joined the franchise all those years back, he went on to do something else and all I did with Justin was a little tag at the end [of Fast & Furious 6]. I need to do a movie with him. And I'd love to see all the Fast crew, Vin [Diesel] and everybody, they're all great people. I have a lot of affection for them."
