SPOILER WARNING: The following article contains major spoilers for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, in theaters now.
Actor Ezra Miller is still having a meltdown because of the big twist involving his character, Credence Barebone, at the end of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Sitting down with CinemaBlend, Miller talked about his character's big twist, saying, "I had a serious, serious meltdown that I'm still having now."
The revelation in question involves Credence, who knows little about his past and nothing about his parents, learning his true lineage. Credence is in actuality a member of Dumbledore's family, specifically Albus' long-lost brother Aurelius.
A hint of his true identity comes when Credence interacts with a Phoenix, a species that has a special relationship with the Dumbledore family. Aurelius was separated from his brother as an infant crossing the Atlantic by boat. A glimpse of this event is seen in a flashback.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is directed by David Yates and written by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. Rowling, David Heyman, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram serve as producers.
