Usually when superhero movie actors give press junket interviews, they play it cool and coy by remaining quiet about their role and saying that they're shying away from all source material. Ezra Miller is not that type of actor. Miller, who will play the Flash in Warner Bros.' expanding DC movie-verse, did not hold back when MTV asked him about the part. This is one guy that clearly loves Barry Allen, loves that he's going to be in a movie with Batman, and loves diving into the deep end of the source material. And, as he enthusiastically revealed, he is definitely not shying away from "The Flash," the CW's hit TV series starring a version of Barry Allen played by Grant Gustin.

"I'm not avoiding it, I'm not avoiding it at all," said Miller. "I think it's awesome. Yeah, I think it's awesome. And come on, we're the Flash! It's parallel universes! Grant Gustin is the Flash and I'm the Flash, don't you see? It's the event horizon, we crossed it baby! Grant and I are chillin'. We're gonna have a race, it's gonna be dope. Like Jay Garrick and Barry Allen back in the day, it's gonna be dope."

Miller dropped more knowledge about Barry Allen during the interview, calling the character the "hero of the Silver Age who follows a lot of interesting discoveries in physics." It comes as no surprise, then, when Miller reveals that he's pretty much reading "Flash" comics nonstop.

"I've been a comic guy but I'm going in as hard as possible because I have a serious excuse to," said Miller with so much enthusiasm. "I have the ultimate license to geek out so hard all the time!"

The interview, which can be seen below, is definitely not one to be skipped, specifically because of Miller's unrestrained enthusiasm and near giddy excitement for the role.

Miller's first solo outing as the Flash is scheduled to open in theaters on March 23, 2018.
