WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for Extreme Carnage: Omega, available now from Marvel Comics.

Extreme Carnage has seen the symbiote villain claw his way from what should have been a watery grave all the way to the edge of political power in a bid to kick off a war between his kind and humanity. After so much careful planning and preparation, the big day has finally arrived for Carnage to make his move. Even with the likes of Flash Thompson close at hand, nothing can stop Carnage from carrying out his most vicious attack yet, and it may have forever changed the Marvel Universe.

With the entire world watching, Senator Krane steps up to the podium at his opposition rally taking place just across from a presidential rally. In the past few months, Krane has stoked humanity's collective fears of another alien invasion akin to the symbiote attack that took place in the recent "King in Black" event. For as long as Flash Thompson and his allies have been on Carnage's trail, they were certain that the senator was the symbiote's host. However, it turns out that Carnage has been hiding in the senator's son Arthur, placing him in the perfect position to carry out a gruesome assassination. With the undivided attention of thousands of people, Senator Krane calls his son to the stage only to be greeted with a jagged tendril to the back in what is the beginning of an absolute bloodbath.

Extreme Carnage: Omega (by Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Manuel Garcia, Cam Smith, Guru e-FX, and VC's Travis Lanham) sees Carnage finally reveal himself to the public by literally tearing his way through Senator Krane in front of a stadium full of horrified onlookers. Panic immediately sets in, and while Carnage announces that his army is coming to fulfill the senator's promise of violence, the rest of the Life Foundation symbiotes are unleashed upon the crowd.

It only takes a few moments for the symbiotes to snuff out dozens of lives in the name of their merciless leader. Even the Guardsmen who have been stationed inside as security are helpless in the face of the world's most prolific killer. Although this isn't the first time Carnage has engaged in such a brazen public attack, this is by far the worse, and it might not even mark the end of the bloodthirsty symbiote's violent campaign.

Flash Thompson, Silence, and Toxin might be on their way to put a stop to the bloodshed, but most of the damage may have already been done. Carnage had spent months meticulously plotting his attack in hopes of igniting a war that he would win regardless of which side emerged victorious.

By amassing a symbiote army as well as taking a position of power among humanity, Carnage is assured success as long as he survives. In the end, it doesn't matter how many lives the heroes are able to save if they can't bring Carnage and his madness to an end. Regardless, this moment is sure to go down in history as one of the most terrifying moments the Marvel Universe has ever faced, and things may never be the same again.
