Netflix has released the first trailer for Extinction, an original sci-fi film premiering later this month. Viewers can look forward to an alien invasion and a few everyman heroes to stand up against it.

After winning a lot of hearts as the fast-talking sidekick Luis in Marvel's Ant-Man franchise, Michael Peña is moving from the comedic role into a brooding family man, Peter, who has a recurring dream about a threat to his wife and children. Convinced that it's a premonition rather than a mental condition, he's uniquely prepared when a sudden attack hits the planet.

Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex) co-stars as Peter's wife Alice, and he'll also get a hand from David, who is played by Marvel's Luke Cage lead actor Mike Colter. The trailer promises some heavy destruction and humans-vs.-aliens combat while Peter and David struggle to save our species.
