In a move perhaps inspired by the time-traveling antics of its titular heroes, Mark Millar and Eric Canete's brand-new series Chrononauts: Futureshock has seen several of its issues arrive this week from a future time period.

That's because the Millarworld/Netflix sequel series from Image Comics is seeing all four of its issues ship to stores Wednesday rather than wait for #2 - 4 to ship month-by-month. The move is only the latest promotional curveball thrown by Millar since he sold his company to the streaming giant.

The series that follows up on the original comic from Millar and artist Sean Gordon Murphy has been in the works for several years, and now the writer is hoping that making the comic "binge-able" will kick up hype with both comic retailers and fans. The description of Futureshock teases:

Chrononauts: Futureshock is sequel to Chrononauts - created by Mark Millar and original artist Sean Gordon Murphy. After man’s first televised step into the past, Corbin Quinn and Danny Reilly now go in the opposite direction and try to reach the future. But something is stopping them and they have to find out why. Why does the Earth not seem to have a future? The answer lies with the man who taught them everything.

CBR has an exclusive preview of the first half of issue #1 of the new comic, and fans can check out the entire epic this week in stores.
