Despite Sylvester Stallone saying he was done with the franchise, it seems another Expendables movie is on the way. The film will reportedly shoot in April 2019, meaning it'll release in theaters later that year, or more likely sometime in 2020.

According to Omega Underground, the reason for Expendables 4's delayed filming is due to the busy schedules of stars like Jason Statham, who will be busy working on the Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw, and Sylvester Stallone (set to film Rambo V), who will in fact be returning to the franchise regardless of comments he made last year.

Story details for Expendables 4 are slim, but we do know Stallone plans to make it an R-rated film, unlike the critically-panned Expendables 3, which was watered down with a PG-13 rating. At one point Hulk Hogan even indicated he was possibly being courted to play the villain in the movie.

In addition to film plans, Fox has reportedly been eying a TV adaptation of the property, which for a time Antonio Banderas was rumored to star -- however, we haven't heard anything regarding the series' development since roughly 2015.
