A new preview from the second issue of The Expanse comic miniseries has been released, courtesy of BOOM! Studios.
The preview features Sergeant Bobbie Draper and her team attempting to track down a cabal that is dealing Martian weapons on the black market. Meanwhile, Chrisjen Avasarala and her daughter Ashanti have a tense farewell.
The official synopsis for the issue teases that Avasarala will be approached by the black market Martian weapons cabal, which offers to help her reclaim her lost political power. Avasarala's ultimate decision is said to have "fatal consequences" — though who those consequences impact remain to be seen.
The Expanse miniseries takes place between the events of Seasons 4 and 5, filling in the details behind Avasarala's fall from grace. It features writing from Corinna Bechko (Green Lantern: Earth One) and art from Alejandro Aragon (Resonant). Francesco Segala (Firefly) and Ed Dukeshire (Once & Future) provide coloring and lettering, respectively
