Prepare for a return to the bloody, serial killer world of Nailbiter this spring. Writer Joshua Williamson and artist Mike Henderson are launching a new volume of their creator-owned Image Comics series -- titled Nailbiter Returns -- that picks up after the events of the original series, which ended three years ago.

Image Comics has provided CBR an exclusive first look at interior art and the cover for Nailbiter Returns #1, along with comments from Williamson and Henderson.

"Over the last few years I have missed the world of Nailbiter and was dying to get back to it. Being back in the town of Buckaroo, the home of serial killers, feels right and satisfies the return to my horror roots that I craved," Williamson said. "The new series builds off the mythology of the original series, has much of the same cast, expands on the mystery, BUT is its own new story. It's own tale of madness. If you enjoyed the first Nailbiter series you're in for a real scary treat. Working with Mike, Adam and John again has been awesome. And the work they are doing clearly shows how much they've all grown as creators since the last series"

"Some of my favorite moments of the last few years have been hearing from folks who missed Nailbiter, and realizing how much I’d missed it too," Henderson said. "Reuniting with Josh, Adam, John and the denizens of Buckaroo and company was always a possibility, but I didn’t realize how good it was going to feel to be back expanding the mystery and creeping everyone out.”
