The X-Men have gained quite a reputation since their debut over five decades ago. The mutant team is renowned for their sociopolitical storylines and seminal sagas, many of which have proven so popular that they've been repeatedly adapted for film and television. But there's also a guilty pleasure element to the X-Men, courtesy of their extensive roster. Sometimes it's plain fun to see different team compositions cut loose and save the day (or wreck shop, depending on the series).
That's exactly what happens in a preview for War of the Realms: Uncanny X-Men #2. After the crew discovered that Malekith's forces had arrived on Earth in the previous issue, a preview for the follow-up reveals that the X-Men have now coordinated enough to begin rescue missions and start fighting back. The preview sees the likes of Dani Moonstar, Multiple Man, Karma, Havok and Banshee fighting hordes of Frost Giants and their hounds.
The rest of the team from Issue #1 is conspicuously absent, as is Sabretooth, whose presence is teased in the May solicitation for the issue.
