Scooby-Doo! and the Gourmet Ghost's big selling point may be the teaming of the Scooby gang with some of Food Network's biggest stars, but longtime fans might be more interested in what the animated film tells us about Fred Jones' past.

CBR's exclusive clip from the movie doesn't feature guest stars Bobby Flay, Giada De Laurentiis or Marcus Samuelsson, but it does reveal something we never knew about the ascot-wearing, trap-obsessed supernatural sleuth. It turns out, Fred comes from a long line of chefs, information we're sure Scooby and Shaggy will be happy to exploit for their own benefit... as soon as they figure out why Fred never volunteers to cook for them.
