Oni Press has teamed with Fried Pie Comics -- a line of variants producing covers for a wide variety of publishers -- for a new one-day convention dubbed Fried Pie Con, taking place Saturday, May 28 at books/games/music store 2nd & Charles in Kennesaw, Georgia. New Oni variants -- for "Rick and Morty" #14, by Emily Helen, and "Heartthrob" #2, by series artist Robert Wilson IV -- will be available at the show, and CBR has the exclusive first look.

Fried Pie Con will feature more than a dozen guests from the comics world, many of which have worked on Oni titles. Notably, the guests at Fried Pie Con are all women comics creators -- here's the full list: "Hopeless Savages" writer Jen Van Meter, "Part Time Princesses" creator Monica Gallagher, "Buzz" artist Tessa Stone, "Lucky Penny" team Yuko Ota & Ananth Hirsh, "Merry Men" artist Jackie Lewis, "Rick and Morty" artist Cat Farris, Emily Helen, Natalie Riess, Elizabeth Enright, Cara McGee, Samantha Knapp and Shivana Sookdeo.

"We've long been in the business of shining a light on new and talented creators of all kinds," Shy Allott, Director of Sales at Oni Press, said in a press release. "Looking at the strong comic community based in Atlanta, we felt the 2nd & Charles in Kennesaw would be the perfect location for the launch of a convention that celebrates both established comic professionals, as well as a new generation of creators."

Along with signings with the creators, Fried Pie Con will also host panels and a gaming tournament. The event is free and open to the public.
