EXCLUSIVE: Power Rangers Go Green In MMPR #9

Fans have taken to BOOM! Studios' "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" comic books like the Rangers themselves take to fighting the forces of evil. At the company's New York Comic Con panel about the series, members from editorial, creative and Saban joined together to present an hour of fun for attendees, but really blew everyone away by revealing Jamal Campbell's cover for "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" #9.

Yup, that's the squad rushing into battle, all wearing Green Ranger-ized versions of their costumes. In #8, the team finds themselves without their usual powers, and the timing couldn't be worse, with attacks raining down from Rita Repulsa and Black Dragon. Luckily, they get a power-up from an unexpected source. Before showing the cover to the assembled audience, editor Dafna Pleban teased of #8, "Something happens at the end of the issue that gives them a leading edge."
