Exclusive: New 'Heroes Reborn' Video Pulls Back the Curtain on HRG

Fans of NBC's "Heroes" will remember Noah Bennet, aka HRG, as the man with all the answers. However, as the 13-episode revival "Heroes Reborn" opens on Sept. 24, they'll find him in a decidedly different place, struggling with questions of his own.

"HRG, as our story begins, is doing what he did a long time ago: selling cars in Austin, Texas," actor Jack Coleman explains in this new "Heroes Reborn" featurette, revealed exclusively by CBR. "HRG has some memory missing -- not a lot, only part of a day, but crucial information. So he has to piece it back together."

Picking up five years after the original drama, "Heroes Reborn" is set in the aftermath of a terrorist attack that left Odessa, Texas -- the home of Claire Bennet -- in ruins. Blamed for the tragedy, those with extraordinary abilities -- known as evolved humans, or "EVOs" -- are in hiding or on the run. HRG has gone off the grid but, as the featurette shows, conspiracy theorist Quentin Frady (Henry Zebrowski) tracks him down and opens his eyes to the truth behind the Odessa event.

Coleman is joined in the miniseries by fellow "Heroes" veterans Masi Oka, Greg Grunberg, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Jimmy Jean-Louis and Cristine Rose, along with a cast of newcomers that includes Zachary Levi, Kiki Sukezane, Robbie Kay, Danika Yarosh, Judith Shekoni, Ryan Guzman, Henry Zebrowski, Gatlin Green, Dylan Bruce, Francesca Eastwood and Nazneen Contractor.

"Heroes Reborn" kicks off with a two-hour premiere Thursday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
