EXCLUSIVE: New "Daredevil" and "Punisher" Art, From Buffagni, Dillon and More

Each week, AXEL-IN-CHARGE -- CBR's weekly Q&A with Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso -- includes the first looks at brand-new Marvel art from upcoming releases. This week's edition celebrated the release of Marvel Television and Netflix's Punisher-filled "Daredevil" season two, with new pages from "Daredevil" #6 by Matteo Buffagni & Matt Milla, pages from the digital-first "Daredevil/Punisher: Seventh Circle" #3 by Szymon Kudranski and Reilly Brown's cover for the print edition of #2, plus inked pages from the new "Punisher" #1, by Frank Castle veteran Steve Dillon. In case you missed it, here's all of that new art rounded up in one place -- "Daredevil" #6 is scheduled for release on April 27, "Punisher" #1 is scheduled for release on May 4. The print edition of "Daredevil/Punisher: Seventh Circle" #2 is expected for release in June.

AXEL-IN-CHARGE: Choosing "Civil War II" Sides, Comics Future of Daredevil, Punisher & Elektra

"The Netflix series definitely factored into our decision to tap Charles Soule -- who is a working attorney himself -- to write the series, his decision to bring Matt back to New York, and the overall tone of the series, including the shadow-heavy, neo-noir approach that Ron Garney is using," Alonso told CBR. "There's a two-part story starting in "Daredevil" #6 which will feature Elektra and Charles is also writing the "Daredevil/Punisher" Infinite Comic that's on sale now. Both are really great and one way we wanted to lean into the extra attention of these two characters."
