EXCLUSIVE: "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" Goldar Gold Foil Variant

With this week's issue #1 still fresh on the stands, "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" is already a major sales hit for BOOM! Studios -- like, the biggest direct market launch in the publisher's history.

Of course, now attention turns to see if April's #2 and beyond of the licensed series -- written by Kyle Higgins and illustrated by Hendry Prasetya -- can maintain the momentum. Like issue #1, #2 will also have multiple variant covers, and on the same day as the debut of the first cast photo from the upcoming "Power Rangers" feature film, CBR has the exclusive first look at artist David Rubín's gold foil variant cover for "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" #2, featuring, of course, classic "Power Rangers" villain Goldar.

The cover is a 1-100 incentive for retailers, who will receive one gold foil variant for every 100 copies of the issue ordered.

Additionally, here's a look at the five other covers for "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" #2, plus solicitation text for the issue, scheduled for release on April 6.
