Marvel's upcoming "Spider-Verse" event is set to start in November 2014, but the publisher is first setting the table in September and October with the five-issue "Edge of Spider-Verse" miniseries. Each issue will be by a different creative team, and focus on a different alternate universe Spider-Man -- including, in issue #2, a Spidey that's Gwen Stacy, not Peter Parker.

Creators contributing to the miniseries include David Hine and Fabrice Sapolsky, returning to Spider-Man Noir; "Wolverine: Origin" and "Savage Wolverine" artist Richard Isanove; "Wolverine and the X-Men" writer and "Southern Bastards" artist Jason Latour; "The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys" co-writer and My Chemical Romance lead singer Gerard Way making his Marvel debut; and "Infinity" artist Dustin Weaver making his Marvel writing debut. CBR has the exclusive solicitations for all of "Edge of Spider-Verse," with the first three issues slated to ship in September, and the final two in October.
