Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr.'s Kick-Ass started out as a blood-soaked answer to the question "What if superheroes were real?" Now, the franchise's next saga will carry its own bloody style forward: a series of Grindhouse variant covers.

Millar and his incoming creative team of Steve Niles and Marceo Frusin shared an exclusive first look with CBR of the series of variants for upcoming issues – all of them prepped by star artists and inspired by the Grindhouse cinema style of the '70s. The covers include contributions by Rafael Grampa, Jock, David Mack, Christian Ward, Mike Allred and Declan Shalvey. Co-creator John Romita, Jr. is anticipated to provide the final Grindhouse variant.
