In April, Marvel Comics' Inhumans take to the stars when Al Ewing and Jonboy Meyers send Medusa, Black Bolt and a contingent of the Inhumans royal family on an intergalactic quest in "Royals."
The series, which spins out of the current "Inhumans vs X-Men" event and is part of Marvel's subsequent Ressurexion publishing initiative, sends the small group of super-powered heroes on a journey to preserve their future by exploring their past. What begins with a visit to the abandoned Kree homeworld of Hala will turn into a journey that takes the crew further into the cosmos than any Marvel hero has gone before.
Today, CBR has the exclusive first look at Meyers' covers for his and Ewing's first two issues of "Royals." Additionally, we have a look at Meyers' character designs for the series' cast, which includes Crystal, Gorgon, Marvel Boy and more.
"It’s wild, energized stuff, leaping off the page," Ewing told CBR of the work Meyers is doing on "Royals" in a recent interview. He’s good when it comes to the design element, too – his ideas for the ship, and for the Royals’ “space” outfits and variations on them for different planets and environments, have been fascinating, and they’ve given me a bunch of ideas. Seeing what he’s doing with some of the bigger, weirder ideas I’m throwing at him, I’m interested to see more in the line – I think it’ll have a lot of visual punch."
"Royals" #1, by Al Ewing and Jonboy Meyers, arrives April 2017 from Marvel Comics.
