"Faith" has been one of Valiant Entertainment's biggest hits in 2016, attracting acclaim from outlets including PBS and The Atlantic, due to the work of the creative team and the fact that it stars a plus-sized female superhero; something pretty much unseen in mainstream American comic books.

Starting in the new year, "Faith" will have a new artist, and CBR has the first details: "Morning Glories" co-creator Joe Eisma will join the book for a two-issue stint starting in January with "Faith" #7. While Eisma is best known for "Morning Glories," which he launched at Image Comics in 2010 alongside writer Nick Spencer, he's currently also the artist on Archie Comics' main "Archie" series, written by Mark Waid. Eisma joins "Faith" writer Jody Houser and artist Marguerite Sauvage, who illustrates the series' fantasy sequences.

Eisma's first issue on the book is described by Valiant in a press release as a "jumping-on point" for the series, featuring Faith taking on a "a thrilling, chilling and downright spooky" supernatural threat. "Faith" #7 was originally solicited to have main art by Meghan Hetrick, who illustrated "Faith" #5, which guest-starred Hillary Clinton, and issue #6, out next week. It's not yet clear who will take on art duties following Eisma's two-issue run, though Hetrick, who recently suffered an injury, is still solicited as contributing to #7.
