Last month, DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns proudly proclaimed "The Flash" to be "the most comic book show that's ever been made" -- and the latest link between the two mediums is a series of character profile cards illustrated by Ivan Reis. A frequent collaborator with Johns -- the two have worked together on "Green Lantern," "Justice League" and plenty more -- Reis has drawn a total of seven profiles, and CBR has the exclusive first look at the card featuring Detective Eddie Thawne, played by actor Rick Cosnett.

Eddie is at the center of a rather complicated relationship dynamic on "The Flash," as he's dating Iris West (Candice Patton), the daughter of his partner on the force, Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) -- not to mention that Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) has been pining away for Iris both before and after gaining the power of super-speed. But what's likely to complicate things even further is the implications surrounding Eddie's last name, Thawne -- the same surname as Eobard Thawne, the civilian name of noted Flash supervillain Professor Zoom/Reverse-Flash, a character already known to be appearing on the show via set pics.

The remainder of the "Flash" bio cards are expected to surface online today via various outlets. "The Flash" airs 8 p.m. Tuesdays on The CW.
