As revealed in the final moments of this week's "International Iron Man" #5 by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Alex Maleev, Tony Stark's biological mother is actually a seemingly unknown woman named Amanda Armstrong. The final page of the issue teases next week's plot with the text, "The Secret Origin of Tony Stark!" -- indicating that issue six will dig into Tony's mysterious parentage, and its connection to "Civil War II."

In light of the news, Marvel Comics has exclusively provided CBR News with the main cover for August's "International Iron Man" #6 by Alex Maleev, featuring a baby Tony Stark very prominently between two silhouettes that likely represent his parents.
