EXCLUSIVE: Harley Quinn Rules as DC's February 2015 Variant Theme

UPDATE: 11/14/14/ 9:40 AM PT: CBR has one more Harley Quinn variant to debut, and it's the variant cover to "Harley Quinn" #15 by artist Marco D'Alfonso -- and befitting a "Harley Quinn" Harley Quinn variant, it features Harley Quinn vs. Harley Quinn!

It looks like DC Comics' themed months of variant covers are here to stay -- the publisher has announced that Harley Quinn will be the next big variant celebration, with different artists bringing their interpretation of the character to covers in February 2015. The initiative will stretch across 22 titles in DC's library, and feature the popular character across the DC Universe.

CBR has a first look at Cliff Chiang's cover for "Batgirl" #39; Amanda Conner and Paul Mounts' "The Flash" #39 variant; Dustin Nguyen and CV Painting's "Justice League" #39 cover; and Francis Manapul and CVDL's variant for "Superman/Wonder Woman" #16.

Harley Quinn month is the latest in a string of themed variant cover months from DC -- the current variant theme for November 2014 is LEGO, celebrating the release of "LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham," while December brings covers drawn by Darwyn Cooke. Giving Harley her own variant month is an understandable move for DC -- since the debut of Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner and Chad Hardin's "Harley Quinn" ongoing series, the title has proved extremely popular, consistently ranking in the top ten single issues each month according to Diamond Comic Distributors' sales figures.
