Long Beach Comic Expo -- the two-day companion show to the fall's Long Beach Comic Con -- returns this weekend, and CBR has the exclusive first look at the show's full slate of programming. This year's panels include Saturday's presentation of the inaugural Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity -- with a keynote speech by Reginald Hudlin -- Sunday's conversation between husband-and-wife genre TV showrunners Marc Guggenheim ("Arrow") and Tara Butters ("Marvel's Agent Carter") plus plenty of comics-centric programming, such as a Saturday spotlight on the X-Men featuring legendary writer Chris Claremont.
Along with the full program schedule, CBR has the details of five panels -- "Lion Forge & IDW Publishing Presents Miami Vice: Remix!," "Godzilla: The IDW History," "Dark Horse Builds Characters," "Marvel Comics" and "Image Comics is Everything," each to be hosted by Jesse Snider.
This year's guests also include Stan Sakai, Art Adams, Greg Weisman, Katie Cook, Chris Burnham, Brian Wood and Joshua Hale Fialkov, among many others. Long Beach Comic Expo takes place Feb. 28 and March 1 at the Long Beach Convention Center, approximately 25 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.
