UPDATE 9/3/2015 2:45 PM PT: Long Beach Comic Con has released an update to its programming slate, now with detailed descriptions of each panel:


Long Beach Comic Con is set to return for its seventh installment next weekend at the Long Beach Convention Center, and CBR has the exclusive first look at the two-day show's complete programming schedule. Highlights include a panel dedicated to "Star Wars" -- featuring current Marvel Comics series artist Stuart Immonen, novelist Cecil Castellucci and Topps illustrator Brian Miller -- a Q&A with "Arrow" star John Barrowman, a "Psychology of Daredevil" hosted by clinical psychologist Dr. Andrea Letamendi and featuring Netflix TV series writers Christos Gage and Ruth Fletcher Gage, and a "Secrets of X-Men: Evolution" retrospective, among other high-profile events schedule for the show.

This year's show will also include "The Inaugural Long Beach Space Expo," a partnership with the Columbia Memorial Space Center that will include panels and interactive, educational exhibits. The convention further expand its scope with involvement from the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, hosting programming for 200 LA-area Girl Scouts, including the opportunity to earn "Comic Book Artist" badge presented by "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." star Chloe Bennet, who will also be appearing for autographs and photo-ops at the show on Saturday.

Three panels at Long Beach Comic Con will be hosted by CBR Managing Editor Albert Ching (hey, that's me) -- a "Captain Marvel" panel from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday in room 102B/C, the "Star Wars" panel from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday in room 104A and a Dark Horse Comics panel from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday in room 102B/C. The "Captain Marvel" panel will feature the new creative team of writers Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas and artist Kris Anka -- here's the official description:

"Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas, the showrunners of 'Agent Carter,' are the new writers of Carol's adventures, with Kris Anka providing art. Join the team as they discuss their run on Captain Marvel, and answer all the questions you can ask!"

Guests at this year's show also include Art Adams, Rosy Press publisher Janelle Asselin, Brian Buccellato, Joe Casey, Dennis Culver, Joshua Hale Fialkov, Marc Guggenheim, Kathryn Immonen, Joe Kelly, Jeff King, Stan Sakai, Marc Silvestri, Cat Staggs and Marc Wolfman, among others. This year's Long Beach Comic Con takes place Sept. 12 and Sept. 13 at the Long Beach Convention Center, approximately 25 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.
