Dark Horse Comics has provided CBR News with an exclusive first look at The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite #2, the latest issue of the new series by Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) and Gabriel Bá (Casanova) with covers by James Jean (Fables). The story follows an estranged foster family of superheroes who reunite at the funeral of their guardian and mentor.

In conversation with CBR News, creator Gerard Way said, I've always wanted ‘The Umbrella Academy' to be the kind of comic book that hasn't existed. Sure, there are a myriad of influences, but everyone has influences. I wanted to make a comic that I wanted to read. I've always felt the best work is something that you yourself wanted to see or listen to.”
