EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: Romita Jr. Draws Dredd

“2000 AD” publisher Rebellion has provided CBR with an exclusive first look at John Romita Jr’s cover art for “Judge Dredd: Mega-City Masters 02,” colored by Dylan Teague. The collection, featuring comic strips from throughout Judge Dredd’s 33-year history, has stories by Grant Morrison, Mark Millar, Sean Phillips, Garth Ennis, Alan Grant and Dredd co-creator John Wager. The collection goes on sale for $19.99 on October 12.

This collection is the first time that John Romita, Jr has drawn a Judge Dredd cover and is the latest step in a new initiative by 2000AD to expand in to the US market, which was first reported on exclusively by CBR. Filled with stories by creators who got their start writing and drawing in the UK before exploding on to the US comic book scene, this volume is meant to introduce Judge Dredd’s world to new readers while still entertaining longtime fans.
