EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: Lee, Syaf & Francavilla Cover "Masks" #1

In November, a group of the world's greatest heroes will come together for the first time in order to do battle with a government agency with duplicitous plans. No, it's not the next mega-crossover event from Marvel or DC: It's Dynamite Entertainment's "Masks," a story that sees Green Hornet, Kato, The Shadow, Miss Fury, Black Bat, Zorro, The Spider and other pulp heroes joining forces for the first time in order to deal with the Party of Justice, an organization which has risen to power in 1938's New York City with the express goal of instituting a fascist police state on the Big Apple's populace.

The series, written by Chris Roberson with fully-painted art and covers by Alex Ross, debuts in November. Today, CBR presents an exclusive first look at Jae Lee, Francesco Francavilla and Ardian Syaf's variant covers for the debut issue.

Before superheroes, there were Masks!

The Shadow, the Green Hornet, Kato, the Spider and more in a story that only Dynamite could tell! For the first time EVER, these masked vigilantes are joining together in one EPIC series! It's 1938, and the Justice Party has swept into office in New York State. But the newly-elected officials are in the control of powerful criminals, who quickly corrupt the law to their own advantage. When a fascist police state is instituted, the only ones who stand in defense of the innocent are masked vigilantes like the Shadow, the Green Hornet, Kato, and the Spider. As the confrontation builds, more masked heroes will join the fight including Black Bat, Miss Fury, Black Terror, Green Lama and many more!

When the law is unjust, justice must be an outlaw!
