EXCLUSIVE: First "Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts" Trailer Runs Wild

Warner Bros. Animation has provided Comic Book Resources with an exclusive first look at the next all-new DC Comics original movie -- "Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts." The trailer finds the caped crusader clashing with his nemesis the Penguin -- and this time they've both brought friends along for the fight. In this first look at the film, Penguin's Animilitia -- featuring Killer Croc, Cheetah, Man-Bat and Silverback -- gnash their teeth at Batman and his team of heroic allies: Red Robin, Nightwing, Flash and Green Arrow.

As revealed late last month, "Animal Instincts" will kick off a new line of Batman toys and animated projects. Another untitled "Batman Unlimited" feature will arrive direct-to-video later this year and 22 two-minute shorts featuring the "Unlimited" cast will be released via digital platforms and a companion app. Mattel's "Batman Unlimited" toy line is already on shelves. The new Batman brand first appeared back in June when an image of a banner promoting the line at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas surfaced online.

"Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts" will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on May 12. You can check out the trailer and official synopsis for the film below.
