EXCLUSIVE: Evil Takes The City In Aja’s “Hail Hydra” #3 Variant

If there’s one thing Marvel fans know about HYDRA, it’s that they are persistent, tenacious and insidious. The evil organization has proven impossible to fully defeat (that whole “cut off one head” mantra has truth to it) and they’ve even pulled off such risky maneuvers as fully infiltrating S.H.I.E.L.D. David Aja’s variant cover for “Hail Hydra” #3, which CBR has an exclusive first look at, demonstrates the terror group’s ability to be everywhere at once with stylistic flavor.

The image features HYDRA’s iconic logo looming over the skyline of the Hydra Empire, the Battleworld domain that serves as the setting of the “Secret Wars” series from writer Rick Remender and artist Roland Boschi. The series follows Nomad, the alter ego of Captain America’s adopted son Ian, as he goes up against the United Confederation of Hydra.

Here’s the solicitation text for the issue, along with a look at the previously released cover by Andrew C. Robinson:
