With the first issue of "MPH" set to explode off of the stands and into readers' hands at the end of May, Image Comics is already looking ahead to the series second issue and has provided CBR with an exclusive first look at artist Eric Canete's variant cover for Mark Millar and Duncan Fegredo's Detroit-based tale.
"I loved the idea of telling a story about a guy who was in probably the worst place to be in America today and one of the worst situations you can imagine, but he's such an optimist about it,"Millar told CBR about his super-speedster Millarworld miniseries. "That's such a superhero ideal... Americans are in love with the idea of making their lives better. I think Europeans are a little different, but I think I'm more like an American. When I watch all those infomercials that we don't have here about how you can become a millionaire in your spare time, I get it! And I love that about America. Opportunity is a lovely thing."
