DC has provided CBR an exclusive preview of Peter J. Tomasi, Christian Duce and Luis Guerrero's Detective Comics #1009.

The preview shows Batman stepping up his war on crime as Alfred protests the zeal with which the Caped Crusader is pursuing his quest. Throughout the night, Alfred reminds the Dark Knight of his neglected duties as Bruce Wayne during the day. After arriving back at his Batcave and washing off the blood on his costume, Batman jokingly offers Ace the Bat-Hound a position as his new butler. The issue itself will deal with the return of Deadshot and the fallout of Mr. Freeze taking Lex Luthor up on his villainous offer.
