DC's Tales from the Dark Multiverse line of one-shots has retold some of the publisher's most iconic storylines, though with a much darker bent. Jeff Loveness, Brad Walker and Andrew Hennessy's Tales from the Dark Multiverse: The Death of Superman #1 will be the next book in the line to release.

Helmed by such legendary creators as Dan Jurgens, Louise Simonson, Jerry Ordway, Jon Bogdanove, Jackson Guice and Tom Grummett, The Death of Superman is one of the DC's biggest crossover events of all-time. The crossover event ran from 1992 until 1993 and saw Superman taking on Doomsday, dying in the process, though he later came back to life.  Tales from the Dark Multiverse: The Death of Superman imagines a world in which Lois Lane -- stricken with grief -- becomes the Eradicator.

You can see CBR's exclusive preview for the issue, which ends at the moment before Doomsday kills Superman, below alongside the solicitation.
