Darryl "DMC" McDaniels' long-standing love of Marvel Comics is well documented, so it should come as no surprise that the member of the legendary Run DMC is expanding his comic writing resume with a gig at the House of Ideas.

In February, McDaniels and his Darryl Makes Comics partner Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez join artist Juan Doe for a story in "Guardians of Infinity" #3.

DMC's love of Marvel goes way back, even offering him the initial inspiration and confidence to go onstage when he was a young man starting out in the rap game. "I started thinking... What would the Hulk do? What would Spider-Man do? My confidence, my persona, my delivery, my power, and my presence is all because of comic books," DMC recounted earlier this year at New York Comic Con. "I was like, 'I'm gonna become the devastating, mic-controlling DMC. I'm gonna become the microphone master DMC.'"
