Dark Horse Comics has united the "Alien," "Predator" and "Prometheus" franchises for "Fire and Stone," a currently unfolding crossover event helmed by multiple creative teams. Writer Paul Tobin and artist Juan Ferreyra are collaborating on the four-issue "Prometheus: Fire and Stone," which launched earlier this month as the first installment of the overarching story.

"It's like this weird dual adventure where we're going to this place 26 light years away to this wonderful adventure and while they're there its an entirely different adventure than what they thought," Tobin said of his series at a "Fire and Stone" panel this past July at Comic-Con International in San Diego.

CBR has the exclusive preview of "Prometheus: Fire and Stone" #2 from Tobin and Ferreyra, scheduled for release on Oct. 15.

Following four four-issue miniseries -- "Prometheus: Fire and Stone," "Aliens: Fire and Stone," "Alien vs. Predator: Fire and Stone" and "Predator: Fire and Stone" -- the storyline wraps up with an oversized epilogue issue written by Kelly Sue DeConnick and slated for release in March. CBR has the first look at that issue's cover, illustrated by David Palumbo.
