The acclaimed horror anthology series Creepshow has returned to deck the halls with plenty of blood and guts in a new holiday special available to stream on Shudder.

Following its release last week, Shudder provided an exclusive, new trailer and set of official stills that provide a spoiler-look at a support group of animalistic shapeshifters from A Creepshow Holiday Special. As the group meets to commiserate over their shared holiday blues and conditions, the gathering is raided by an army of werewolf-hunting Santa Clauses.

The newly released photos showcase monster transformations in full, including the formidable were-tortoise to take on the heavily armed ensemble of Kris Kringles, before inevitably facing a cyborg Santa. This time, Santa comes bringing knives for hands.

A Creepshow Holiday Special was adapted from a short story by J.A. Konrath titled "Shapeshifters Anonymous." The holiday special debuted ahead of the horror anthology's anticipated Season 2.

Production on the second season was delayed this past April due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic before principal photography began this past September. During the temporary production shutdown, Shudder ordered scripts for a planned third season.

Written and directed by Greg Nicotero, A Creepshow Holiday Special stars Anna Camp and Adam Pally. The special episode is available to stream now on Shudder.
