The recent "Civil War II" conversation has been led by speculation about which Marvel Comics character will die in issue #3 of Brian Michael BendisDavid Marquez and Justin Ponsor's event series -- the next chapter of the series, due out July 13.

Right now, though, CBR has a look into the further future, and the exclusive reveal of the two covers to October's "Civil War II" #7, the final issue of the ongoing story's main miniseries -- and presumably a direct lead-in to the new Marvel NOW! publishing era, heavily teased last week with a group shot illustrated by Mike Deodato, proclaiming "Divided We Stand."

As with each previous issue of "Civil War II," #7 will have a main cover illustrated by Marko Djurdjevic and a variant by Michael Cho. In Djurdjevic's cover, Ulysses, the recently introduced Inhuman whose future-predicting powers are the main impetus for the storyline, looms prominently in the background, while Iron Man and Captain Marvel, the main players on each side of the "Civil War II" divide, collide. Well, "collide" isn't right -- Captain Marvel has a prone Iron Man (or at least, his armor) hoisted high in a stance not unlike the Ultimate Warrior's gorilla press drop.

It's already looking like things will turn out poorly for Tony Stark at the end of "Civil War II," given the character's absence in the "Divided We Stand" teaser, where Captain Marvel is prominently represented, and a character that appears to be the former Doctor Doom is seen holding Iron Man's helmet. It's still early, but this new Djurdjevic cover isn't likely to increase Iron Man's betting odds as a potential winner in the "Civil War II" conflict.

Cho's "Civil War II" #7 variant, like the previous variants he illustrated for the event, is patterned after an old-school boxing poster -- and promotes Captain Marvel and Iron Man in the "rematch of the century," while also teasing Spider-Man (Miles Morales version) versus Captain America (Steve Rogers, recently and controversially revealed to be a secret Hydra operative); the fight that's on the cover to September's "Civil War II" #6. In a striking image, the cover also bills "Ulysses versus the World," showing a seemingly much more sinister side of Ulysses than the series has depicted thus far.

Of course, with only two issues of "Civil War II" out at this point, it's to early to draw any concrete conclusions about the story's finale, which is still months away. But it's still fun to speculate -- and Marvel clearly wants fans guessing what, exactly, happens to Iron Man at the end of this story.
