As with the fallout of many Marvel Comics events, questions still hang as to where many of the core heroes of Marvel will end up once the dust has settled. With "Avengers Vs. X-Men," one hero fans have been asking after is the man called Cable, and a new piece of the future X-Man's puzzle is revealed today in a CBR exclusive first look at Jorge Molina's variant cover to "AvX: Consequences" #5.

Shipping over the entire month of October, "Consequenes" offers "Uncanny X-Men" and incoming "Iron Man" writer Kieron Gillen a chance to show where some of Marvel's biggest go after the death of Charles Xavier. "Events are these enormous things which throw around a lot of energy. This is the chance to see how some of that energy affects a handful of characters," Gillen said in a previous interview. "'Consequences' focuses on the mental states of all these people after something immense as 'AvX.' It's a very character driven book."

For Cable, those human consequences involve how he'll survive after almost dying in the "AvX" prelude "Avengers: X-Sanction." While he sat most of the battle of "AvX" out, readers watching for the incoming Marvel NOW! relaunch know that Cable will have a different look (and a new eye patch) when he lands in Dennis Hopless' "Cable And X-Force" ongoing, but where exactly that change takes place remains a mystery.
