Valiant Entertainment has provided CBR with an exclusive preview of Tim Seeley and Brett Booth's Bloodshot #2, which features a splash page in which the title hero jumps into the blades of a helicopter and survives.
Booth provided some exclusive quotes about his art, saying, "That splash page... I started that 4 times. First one I wasn’t sure I liked so I started 3 others... got about halfway done and hated all the new ones and wound up going back to my original idea. It was a bit tricky because I didn’t know about this scene in issue 2 when I designed the helicopter in issue 1 or I would have gone more traditional. It was a problem of my own making!"
He also talked about the challenges of drawing the title character. "Bloodshot took me a few tries," Booth said, "his white skin makes him a challenge since he’d be a bit reflective in real life and you really just need to ignore that to make it moody. So a bit of trial and error."
Talking about what to expect in the issue, Booth added, "I’m hoping everyone loves the Melty Man! Old joke but totally works for this issue."
