EXCLUSIVE: "Bloodlines: Hostile Takeover" #2 Solicits, Character Sketches

If you're hoping to see writer J.T. Krul's spin on superheroes in his latest DC Comics project, you might be a little surprised to find out, that's not where he's taking the story. "It's really not a superhero book at all," Krul says of "Bloodlines: Hostile Takeover." "It's more like a Stephen King novel."

DC has provided CBR with the exclusive first look at the cover and solicits for May's "Bloodlines" #2, along with a glimpse at artist V. Ken Marion's sketchbook for the series.

"Some of them are very literal re-imaginings with the same types of powers, and some of them are variations," Krul explained to CBR News of the Bloodline cast's new incarnation. "We're not going to see all of the 'Bloodline' characters -- and again, this isn't a matter of, this is awesome. This is terrifying. We're reimagining the original 'Bloodlines' event. We have some of the classic characters, and we also have some new characters."
