Anarky is coming to "Arrow" in the show's upcoming fourth season, and CBR has the exclusive first word on who will be playing the role: Alexander Calvert, who has previously been seen in "Bates Motel" and "The Returned." It's a recurring role for Calvert, who will debut in the role in the second episode of "Arrow" season four.

Here's the official description of the character: "Lonnie Machin (AKA Anarky) is a deranged freelancing criminal who is willing to do whatever it takes to impress a potential employer." Anarky was first announced to be joining "Arrow" last weekend at Comic-Con International in San Diego, as revealed during Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment's Saturday night Hall H presentation.

The latest DC Comics character added to the "Arrow"/"Flash" mix, Anarky was created by Alan Grant and Norm Breyfogle, and first seen in 1989's "Detective Comics" #608. The character -- an antihero practicing anarchist beliefs -- became a popular part of the Batman cast in the 1990s, headlining his own ongoing series between 1997 and 1999.

Mr. Terrific, another prominent DC character who has starred in a solo series, will also be featured on the new season of "Arrow," and was revealed earlier today to be played by Echo Kellum.

"Arrow" season four is scheduled to debut Oct. 7 on The CW.
