An exclusive look at the covers and plot of BOOM! Studios' Angel #3, by writer Bryan Edward Hill and artist Gleb Melnikov, teases the titular vampire having a showdown in a hospital against a demon.

The issue features two covers. The main cover is by Dan Panosian (Slots) and the variant is by Scott Buoncristiano (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). You can read the synopsis and see the covers below:

Meet Angel – a vampire cursed with a soul who has spent centuries protecting humanity from the monsters that lurk in the dark…including himself. Angel originally appeared on Joss Whedon's Buffy The Vampire Slayer before getting his own spinoff, which premiered on October 5, 1999. The character was played on TV by David Boreanaz. The first comic based on the character and spinoff series was the Dark Horse Comics 1999 miniseries Angel: The Hollower.

BOOM! Studios launched a comic series based on Buffy The Vampire Slayer earlier this year. Angel first appeared in issue #4 of that series. His solo series received a zero issue last month Angel #1 hits shelves May 29.
