EXCLUSIVE: Allred Brings The Groovy to “Batman ’66” Variants

May continues DC Comics‘ themed variant cover months for 2014, and the publisher has given CBR an exclusive first look at Mike Allred‘s “Batman ’66”-themed variant covers for “Action Comics” #31, “Batwoman” #31 and “Earth 2” #23. The covers are in Allred’s signature style, giving a look at Superman getting the drop on some classic Batman villains, the classic ’60s Batwoman and a look at the Justice Society of Earth-2.

The month of “Batman ’66” variants is the latest in a series of themed variant cover months this year. “Scribblenauts” dominated in January, steampunk covers in February, “Robot Chicken” got the nod in March (due to the debut of the “Robot Chicken: DC Comics Special”), and “MAD” showed up in April. Following Allred’s “Batman ’66” month, DC Bombshells will get its own covers in June and Batman’s 75th Anniversary for July.

Check out Allred’s covers below.
