With a star-making turn for its titular hero in "Captain America: Civil War" and heat increasing after rumors hit that Lupita Nyong'o might be and confirmation that Michael B Jordan would be joining the film, Marvel Studios' 2018 "Black Panther" solo film is already turning heads.

And now a new possible casting choice is making its rounds on the web with recruitment talk chasing the star of another fan favorite Disney franchise: John Boyega.

Screen Rant pulled together a swarm of news, updates and telling coincidences that the man who made Finn a breakout character in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is circling a role in the African superhero saga, including these facts:

* Boyega has been talking about his desire to be in the film for years.

* There's been some social media chatter connecting the actor to Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige with the latter following Boyega on Twitter just after he was snap-chatting about mysterious Hollywood meetings.

* Boyega knows "Black Pather's" director Ryan Coogler after the pair hung out at the premier of "The Force Awakens."

This, of course, doesn't necessarily amount to a part in the film being offered to the actor, but with the studios plans for a predominantly Black cast widely publicized and Boyega's rising star status after "Star Wars," the performer seems a no brainer for the film if the parties can ink a deal.
