Going by a new sizzle reel released Dec. 16 by the streaming service, Star Wars and Marvel fans will be spoiled for choices on Disney+ in 2022. While any news about the status of The Mandalorian Season 3 is conspicuous by its absence, Disney+ subscribers won't lack shows in the superhero and space opera genre to watch in 2022.
Starting with the late-2021 Christmas gift of The Book of Boba Fett, a combined eight Star Wars and Marvel shows will bow over the next 12 months. Here's every show the sizzle reel confirmed and its release window, as well as what we know about them at the moment.

The Book of Boba Fett (Dec. 29, 2021)
The Book of Boba Fett picks up where The Mandalorian left off, with Fett and his right-hand woman Fennec Shand taking over Jabba the Hutt's old territory. Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen star, with Jennifer Beals taking on a supporting role as a Twi'lek. Robert Rodriguez will make his Star Wars debut as a director, joining veterans like Jon Favreau, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Dave Filoni.
Moon Knight (March 30, 2022)
Marvel's grittiest Disney+ series, Moon Knight promises to look at the character's multiple personalities and a new focus on mental health. Oscar Isaac stars as Steven Grant, a gift-shop employee troubled by blackouts and memories of another life, who learns he has dissociative identity disorder, and shares a body with a mercenary named Marc Spector. However, that's only the beginning: When their enemies begin to surround them, Steven and Marc are embroiled in a mystery involving the gods of Egypt.
Moon Knight also stars Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy.
Ms. Marvel (June 8, 2022)
Imani Vellani stars as Marvel Studio's first Muslim superhero in Ms. Marvel, about New Jersey teenager Kamala Khan, a superhero super-fan who gains powers of her own. Vellani's character will also appear alongside Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau in the 2023 film The Marvels.
Premiering June 8, Ms. Marvel also stars Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer and Nimra Bucha.
She-Hulk (2022)
Orphan Black chameleon Tatiana Maslany brings Jen Walters and her jade giantess alter ego (via CGI) to life in 2022. The Emmy Award Winner will reportedly break the fourth wall with Marvel Studios boss Kevin Fiege himself. Fans will get to see how a lighthearted half-hour legal comedy will fit into the MCU when the show drops on Disney+. Maslany will be joined by a returning Mark Ruffalo as Walters' cousin/fellow Hulk, Bruce Banner, and Tim Roth as the Abomination. While The Good Place's Jameela Jamil will make her MCU debut as super villain Titania. Additionally, Maslany fans might also get to hear the multi-talented actress sing for the first time on film, assuming she was being serious during a recent podcast appearance.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (May 25, 2022)
Ewan McGregor's return to the Star Wars Universe, as the executive producer in addition to reprising one of his signature roles, has been confirmed for release on May 25. Obi-Wan will reunite with his former Padawan, Hayden Christensen's Darth Vader. It's a huge reunion for Star Wars fans who hold the prequels close to their hearts, and one that changes their climactic encounter in A New Hope. McGregor and Christensen will be joined by Sung Kang in a mystery role. The Second Sister from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is also rumored to appear.
Andor (Summer 2022)
In addition to Ms. Marvel, the Rogue One prequel series Andor also has a summer 2022 release window. Diego Luna returns as Rebel spy Cassian Andor. Returning alongside him are Forrest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera, Alan Tudyk as K-2So, and Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma. Marvel Cinematic Universe (and Dune) alumni Stellan Skarsgård joins the cast in an unannounced role, alongside newcomers like Morbius' Adria Arjona and genre veteran Fiona Shaw, who's appeared in everything from the Harry Potter series to Killing Eve. The series prequel setting, five years before the events of Rogue One, charts the formation of the Rebel Alliance.
I Am Groot (2022)
James Gunn has confirmed the sizzle reel's 2022 release date for Guardians of the Galaxy spin-off I Am Groot, a series of shorts starring Baby Groot. In a first for an MCU Guardians of the Galaxy project, Gunn won't write or direct I Am Groot. He'll executive produce alongside the show's director, Kirsten Lepore. The series will take Groot back to his birth planet, Planet X. The only hint at the direction the show will take is a teaser image featuring Groot covered in body hair-like foliage.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 (2022)
The only returning show confirmed for 2022 is the second season of The Bad Batch, a spin-off/sequel to Star Wars: The Clone Wars spearheaded by Dave Filoni and Jennifer Corbett. Dee Bradley Baker and Michelle Ang will return as the voices of the clone trooper squad, with Baker handling the entire Bad Batch and Ang playing defective female clone Omega. The show will pick up from Season 1's finale. Nala Se, the Kaminoan Scientist behind the clone troopers, is in Imperial hands. Meanwhile, Crosshair has left the team. Season 2 should continue the breakout character arc of Boba Fett's little sister, Omega.
