Evangeline Lilly suited up as The Wasp on Wednesday on the Atlanta set of Marvel's Ant-Man and The Wasp.
Published by the Daily Mail, the images offer the first look at the helmet Lilly's Hope van Dyne will wear as The Wasp in the sequel. Not only that, but they offer a fuller reveal of the suit the actress debuted last month in honor of the birthday of legendary comics creator Jack Kirby.
In director Peyton Reed's Ant-Man and The Wasp, Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang comes to grips with his status as both a superhero and a father as he is thrust into a new quest alongside The Wasp and Dr. Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man. The trio’s new adventure will see them unearth secrets from their past and introduce the original Wasp, Hope van Dyne’s mother, who was thought to be trapped in a quantum dimension when she hacked her suit to stop a rogue missile.
Opening July 6, 2018, Ant-Man and The Wasp stars returning cast members Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Michael Peña as Luis, Judy Greer as Maggie, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Abby Ryder Fortson as Cassie, Tip “T.I.” Harris as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, joined by franchise newcomers Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Hannah John-Kamen as The Ghost, Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch, Randall Park as Jimmy Woo and Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Foster.
