Eternals' Salma Hayek won't make her official Marvel Cinematic Universe debut until the film is released next week, but the star is already enamored with cosplayers who are dressing the part in advance of the movie's debut.

Hayek and co-star Richard Madden were asked by Variety what it was like to be cast as superheroes. "It's cool, it's cool," Hayek responded. "It's a bit shocking, especially when you come out of the car and you see there's people dressed like you. How weird is that?"

But the star is touched by the fans' passion for the movie. "I love them already," Hayek added. "Oh my God, they warm my heart."

Hayek plays the role of Ajak in the film.

Eternals takes place in the wake of the so-called Blip, when the half of the galaxy obliterated by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War was restored by Bruce Banner/Hulk in Avengers: Endgame. According to Eternals' official trailer, the energy released during the universe's restoration has resulted in an "emergence." What exactly has emerged is unknown, but the Eternals also find themselves emerging from the shadows to defend the Earth from the resurgent threat of the race of monsters known as the Deviants.

The character of Ajak was introduced in 1976 in Jack Kirby's Eternals #2.

Eternals arrives in theaters on Nov. 5.
